About Prince Olatunji Olusoji
Prince Olatunji Olusoji hails from Ayere in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria.
Prince Olatunji was raised with strong values of integrity, hard work, and love for humanity instilled by his parents.
Driven by a desire to address human challenges, particularly in engineering, Prince Olatunji pursued higher education after completing his primary and secondary schooling. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious University of Benin. During his time at university, he was elected to various leadership roles within his department, which honed his leadership skills.
Following his graduation, Prince Olatunji enrolled in the one year national volunteer scheme (known in Nigeria as the National Youth Service Corps) and was posted to Delta, where he served his father’s land meritoriously on volunteer basis.
After completing his national service, Prince Olatunji joined Odessa Marine Services Limited as a management trainee. His dedication, innovation, and excellence led to his promotion to Operations Manager within four years, where he significantly contributed to the company's goals and objectives.
In line with his commitment to humanitarian causes, Prince Olatunji founded the Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation (PROOF) in 2013. The foundation aims to provide support to the underprivileged, particularly in health, education, and food security.
Prince Olatunji's philanthropic efforts through PROOF garnered recognition from both private and public sectors, earning him several awards including the conferment of the title of Asiwaju of Ayere Kingdom (the exemplary leader of Ayere Kingdom) by a prominent king, the Alayere of Ayere Kingdom.
Aspiring to serve on a larger platform, Prince Olatunji resigned from his position at Odessa Marine Services Limited to contest for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives in 2014. Despite not securing his political party’s nomination, his impressive campaign led to his appointment to various party committees at the national level.
In 2016, he established his own company, Grosvenor Global Services Limited, where he serves as Chairman of the Board, with interests in oil & gas, marine, security and logistics services.
The following year, the Delta State government appointed him as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties. In this role, Prince Olatunji contributed to peace-building initiatives and collaborated with security agencies to prevent the burning of Delta Mall, which houses Shoprite, a South African retail company.
He held this position until May 29, 2023, and now serves as Chief of Staff to the former Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Chief James Ibori.
Leveraging his public sector experience and business acumen, Prince Olatunji holds several board positions and was recently appointed Executive Director of Regions Oil and Gas Limited.
